I'm so glad it wasn't my wife's thoughts for the ending which were "Rick waking up in the hospital and it was a dream after he got shot in the first episode". All in all this final episode ended the only way it really could've and it was satisfying. I'm happy that we will get to see some of the characters again in the extended universe. The journey was alot of fun and the cast were amazing throughout. So much of the show was amazing and gripping but it did have it's moments of dragging on which never made me not want to watch just could've been a bit more exciting.

I won't lie it will be really missed and it's the only show we've ever followed together and watched every episode off together (apart from the first episode of Season 7 with Megan's big entrance, which she couldn't watch at the time due to just having our daughter in hospital, and to this day she still hasn't seen it. I remember watching the first episode with my then girlfriend (now wife) and thinking I'm liking this alot, to watching every episode as it came out on TV until today.
For the past 12 years we've followed the apocalypse and witnessed the desperation and sometimes pure evil of the human race. After all these years of watching, being on the edge of our seat, all the emotions throughout and attachments we made with the characters, today was the day it all ended.
